NSW: Memorabilia stolen from former international rugby star

SYDNEY, April 21 AAP - Former international rugby league player Terry Hill said he
was shattered today after thieves stole a grand final medal and jerseys from his NSW central
coast holiday home.

The burglars broke into Mr Hill's Daleys Point home between 6am (AEST) on Saturday
and midday yesterday, NSW police said.

His 1996 grand final medal and 14 State of Origin jumpers were stolen along with three
Manly grand final jumpers and eight Australian Rugby League jerseys.

All his tracksuits and training gear from the Australian rugby league team's 1994 tour
and the 1995 World Cup, State of Origin and Manly teams were also stolen.

"What is heartbreaking is the theft of my original jumpers which I wore playing for
the state and country," Mr Hill said.

"I am shattered."

Mr Hill, who currently plays for the NRL team the Wests Tigers, called on anyone who
saw anything suspicious outside his home in Daleys Avenue to contact police.

Police believed several people would have been involved and a heavy vehicle or trailer
used to remove the items.

Anybody with information should call Gosford Police Station on 4323 5599 or Crime Stoppers
on 1800 333 000.
